Make the switch to the critically acclaimed EV3
With lots of car makers hitting something of a stumbling
block when it comes to attracting buyers of more compact models to switch to
electric, Kia, as ever, has taken a fresh and dynamic approach to the issue
with the introduction of the much acclaimed EV3.
At Stuarts Garages we have a lot of experience of
introducing new models and it is fair to say we are especially excited about
this one. Lots of our customers like to drive practical, more compact,
crossover vehicles, but up to now may have been reluctant to choose battery
electric power. We firmly believe that the new EV3 all-electric crossover is a
real game changer and will tempt many more to make the electric switch.
It also seems that our opinion is shared by many of the most
influential writers in the motoring press. Here is what a few have had to say
about the all new EV3:
Michael McAleer, Motoring Editor of the Irish Times said:
“The EV3 manages to feel as spacious inside as much bigger rivals.
That’s not just a trick of the eye; there is impressive legroom front and rear
in this car, accompanied by a plethora of stowage options and cubbyholes.”
“The interior trim feels modern, and the materials are as good as on
the rest of this brand’s range.”
“On the road, the EV3 is smooth and responsive. Perhaps the most
impressive feature of the EV3 is its responsive steering and reactions that
belie the size of this car.”
“Regular commuters will find the transition to EV3 from a petrol or
diesel car remarkably easy.”
Michael’s conclusion: “In a cut-throat market, the good news for Kia is
that the recipe of relaxing driving dynamics, good tech, impressive range,
family space and a competitive price should ensure it will be one of the
winners in this battle.”
Writing in What Car? Magazine, Dan Jones commented:
“With its impressive range between charges, comfortable ride, low price
tag and high equipment levels, the Kia EV3 is a seriously tempting purchase and
a solid contender among electric SUVs.”
“It feels as though it's been put together well and should stand the
test of time.”
“As has been the case with almost all of Kia’s EVs, you’ll find that
people sitting in the rear have loads of leg room and plenty of space under the
front seats for their feet.”
“Despite its keen pricing, every EV3 comes really well equipped as
standard. Indeed, even the entry-level Air version comes with heated front
seats, a heated steering wheel, automatic LED headlights, automatic air
conditioning, keyless entry and start, cruise control and lots of other kit.”
Top Gear Magazine’s Peter Rawlins said:
“Shock, horror: Kia has built another genuinely good electric car”
“It holds its own as a genuinely impressive overall package, and it’ll
look good on your drive.”
“It drives well, the cabin has a properly premium feel, it’s highly
efficient and the standard kit list is as long as your arm.”
Meanwhile Jordan Katsianis at Auto Express was particularly
impressed with the EV3. He said:
“The EV3 is the next big step forward not just for Kia, but EV design
and engineering at large.”
“Much like the larger EV6, the EV3 feels well engineered and easy to
drive. There’s also a refreshingly natural feel to the throttle and brake
pedals that make them easy to acclimatise to. In fact, the brakes are
particularly impressive, thanks to a consistent feel as they switch between
friction and regenerative modes.”
“The overall interior design strikes a balance between sleek and
functional.”
“Kia’s safety systems are comprehensive across the range and being an
all-new model, we suspect it’ll easily meet top marks in European testing.”
